WHAT IS ARC?
ARC, the Academic and Research Collaborative, is a coalition of academic, public, and special research libraries in the Worcester, MA area working together to facilitate the sharing of resources and services for the benefit of their collective users.
WHAT CAN ARC DO FOR ME?

- With ARC, you can get the resources you need – faster! Participating ARC institutions take part in a walk-in borrowing program in which libraries have agreed to share their resources. Details and Cross Borrowing Cards are available from your institution’s library.
- Delivery The courier service used by libraries in the area allows for books to be delivered from other ARC libraries to your library on your behalf.
- On-site Use of Electronic Resources
GET YOUR ARC CROSS BORROWING CARD!
It’s easy and only takes a few minutes to get started:
- Visit the library at your institution and tell the friendly librarian behind the desk that you would like to get an ARC Card.
- As long as your institution considers your library account to be “in good standing,” you will be issued a card.
- You are good to go! Feel free to head out to whichever ARC library has the resources you need to use. Make sure to bring your new ARC Cross Borrowing Card with you!
